Yes, we offer a supply and fit service for most flooring types offered in our showroom. Engineered Wood is the only product we do not provide a fitting service for as this is offered on a supply only basis. All payments for the works our fitters have completed are made to our office. We feel this protects both you and us and ensures piece of mind should any issues arise. Please refer to our terms & conditions for more information

Of course! If you have your own fitter or would like to fit the flooring yourself, we are more than happy to supply the materials. We can also supply sundry materials such as underlay, latex smoothing compounds and adhesives.

Unfortunately, we only supply labour for floor coverings purchased from us. We would recommend looking on local Facebook pages or Yell.com for a fitter.

For our supply and fit service, we take a 50% deposit on confirmation of our estimate and the balance is invoiced after the works have been completed. Payments can be made by card in our showroom or over the phone, or by BACS transfer. We no longer take cheque and try to avoid cash where possible! We also do not accept AMEX.
For supply only sales payment must be made in full prior to ordering materials.

As much as we would love to say we never have any issues with fitting – that would simply not be true! Please contact us as soon as you notice ANY issue with your flooring.
Any defective workmanship is usually apparent within the first 3 months after a floor has been fitted. We offer a 12-month fitting guarantee with all flooring types, should you have any issues within this time frame please let us know ASAP and we will work out the best course of action. The flooring itself comes with its own wear guarantee, which varies between brands. Please refer to our Terms and Conditions for more information.

The labour cost for any job will depend on the size, layout, sub-floor prep, time taken to complete the job and the flooring type being fitted. No two job is the same, just like no two properties are the same. We will always do our best to give an accurate estimate of fitting costs, however this will be subject to a site survey from our estimator and is very likely to change.

For a dryback/stick down LVT any wood-based subfloor will need a flooring grade plywood fitted beforehand. Concrete subfloors will require a latex smoothing compound. The tiles are then stuck down on top of the plywood/latex using a temperature tolerant, pressure sensitive glue. We will always follow the manufacturers guidelines, using the recommended sundry materials to ensure your product guarantee remains valid.
Please note, it is NOT possible to fit a stick down LVT directly to chipboard – even new chipboard which we are sure is perfectly flat and level. Chipboard contains waxes that prevent the LVT glues from adhering properly.
Click LVT’s are slightly more lenient in terms of sub-floor preparation, although this would need to be assessed at the time of survey and would be subject to the condition of the sub-floor.

LVT is compatible underfloor heating however the temperature must not exceed 27 degrees. For click LVT you must ensure your underlay is compatible with underfloor heating too, this allows the heat to evenly distribute. The sub-floor preparation needed may vary depending on what type of underfloor heating system is being installed. Please get in touch to discuss your requirements!

We would not recommend using a steam mop on any type of flooring. The mix of both heat and moisture can affect the adhesives and cause the flooring to lift.
For the specific cleaning instructions, please do get in touch and we can email over the manufacturer cleaning guidelines.

It is very common to have height differences between areas, especially if additional rooms have been added to your property over the years. We have several ways to address issues such as this, for example by using thicker plywood or underlay, hard-boarding, additional coats of latex or a combination of the above.
We will always do our best to reduce height differences as must as we can, although this is not always possible in all properties.
It is always best to book in a site survey so Darren can assess any height differences and we can suggest the best possible option.
